The specialized consulting team from QUADRA was engaged at the end of 2016 to set up three international certifications enabling the SECIL Group to grow its international sales on the strength of internationally recognized product certification systems. The clearly stated goal was to obtain the cement product certifications AFNOR NF (FR), BENOR (BE), and KOMO (NL).

QUADRA reviewed the Quality System already in place at the SECIL Outão plant as well as the one at the remote silo and depot in Terneuzen. We then adapted the quality control processes, including procedures, quality safeguards, and KPIs, and revised the best practices at the plant's control laboratory.

In 2017 and 2018, the cements manufactured by SECIL (Outão plant) and stored at SECIL Cement BV finally obtained the international NF, BENOR, and KOMO certifications.

These certifications have been maintained ever since with the technical support of the QUADRA teams.

The performance of the cements manufactured by SECIL at its Outão plant is exceptional, both for the CEM I 52.5R(nl) CE CP2 NF and the CEM I 42.5R CE CP2 NF, which also carry the BENOR label (with the LA characteristic) and the KOMO label.

Export volumes from the SECIL Outão plant have grown and been sustained over the past ten years thanks to the quality control mastered by the production and quality control teams within the SECIL Group.
