2024-2025
GROUP AUDEMARD - TERALTA Cements REUNION
The expert consulting teams from QUADRA TRADING were called in by Entreprises AUDEMARD to provide technical support during the setup of the TERALTA project, a plant for producing blended cements.
The blended cement production plant developed by Entreprises AUDEMARD through its subsidiary TERALTA on Réunion Island reflects a commitment to circular economy principles and sustainable innovation. It incorporates previously untapped local resources into its industrial process, including local pozzolans and recycled fine concrete aggregates, which will make it possible to develop low carbon cement ranges.
Besides CEM I, which here serves as a raw material, blast furnace slag and fly ash also feed into the horizontal axis mixer. These materials are imported to Réunion from Asia but meet European standards.
As a result, since May 1, 2025, Teralta has been producing a CEM II/B-V 32.5 N CE, named Terakaz. During the same period, production will begin on Terabat, a CEM II/A-S 42.5 N CE. Cements produced by TERALTA have carried CE and NF certification marks since 2025.
To reach these quality standards, the teams at Teralta Ciments Réunion were supported by experts from QUADRA TRADING, whose consultants specialize in technical advisory work and mastering regulatory requirements in the cement sector.
This partnership made it possible to structure the development of the low carbon cement ranges and the quality approach, in line with the strict criteria of the NF 002 standard for hydraulic binders, and to define product ranges tailored to French regulatory requirements and the Réunion market, using inputs selected for their high level of quality.
